SOG makes a lot of different knives. I carry the Flash II....which is technically restricted to L.E. and Military purchase, but if you want a great fixed blade survival knife, look at the SOG revolver-SEAL or revolver-Hunter. They are $40 on the SOG site, which....is cheaper than most other knives, and probably better quality. Fusion SEAL Revolver (Black TiNi) Anyway, I buy them from Blumenthal's. They can order any model, and I've been a customer for 3 years so they treat me well. If you are looking for the Fixation Dagger ONLY, I would just buy it from SOG direct. |

They are illegal to carry, unless you're a police officer, FYI. The Flash II that is. |

The same law that makes them illegal is the one that makes any folder I've ever played with illegal. Ironically the same RCW that makes silencers unlawful to use. RCW 9.41.250 Dangerous weapons — Penalty. Every person who: (1) Manufactures, sells, or disposes of or possesses any instrument or weapon of the kind usually known as slung shot, sand club, or metal knuckles, or spring blade knife, or any knife the blade of which is automatically released by a spring mechanism or other mechanical device, or any knife having a blade which opens, or falls, or is ejected into position by the force of gravity, or by an outward, downward, or centrifugal thrust or movement; (2) Furtively carries with intent to conceal any dagger, dirk, pistol, or other dangerous weapon; or (3) Uses any contrivance or device for suppressing the noise of any firearm, is guilty of a gross misdemeanor punishable under chapter 9A.20 RCW. |

I know I'm a little late to this party but the Flash II is spring "assisted" it does not automatically open. So how does this fall into that category? I've been carrying on for years and love the hell out of it.

Just tried to google it and it appears as if they dont make them anymore or just cant even find a Sidewinder 1 let alone Sidewinder 2. LOL. I didnt know this either: "The knives here are ALL out-of-production models and cannot be found online anymore. They are called the 'Extraordinary Knives' because they were the ones Made in Seki, Japan and were of high quality yet value for money." Sidewinder 1 and 2 were made and stamped Seki, Japan. Last update...The Sidewinder 2 had a name change to Sogwinder 2. Its so old I suppose thats why I didnt catch that. Pic: ![]() ![]() Last edited by endless; 02-14-2010 at 10:52 AM.
