WTB: 9mm ammo

Just cheap stuff. I don't want real expensive extra damaging tear apart a bad guy ammo. Just something I could plink with.

Walmart is your friend, you just have to learn their system. Each store is different. Some stores put their ammo out as soon as it is off the truck, some put it out at 7:00A.M. when the first sporting goods worker clocks on, others just have the night stockers leave it on the sporting goods counter so you can pillage at will!

I have had some people say I am full of shit, but this is my Walmart .223 take in the last 14 or so days! It's good to see that the Federal 100rd bulk packs are starting to show up again & still at $34.97 a box!

They will ask you if the ammo you are buying is for a rifle or pistol, tell them it's for a rifle! Only need to be 18 to buy rifle ammo!

I actually just googled it and the ATF says if the seller is satisfied the ammo is for a rifle interchangeable ammo can be sold to someone under 21.

Well this evening I went to walmart. They had 9mm ammo. When she rang it up she only asked if I was over 21. I explained to her the law and about my carbine, she said she had never heard of 9mm rifle. She said no, I asked for a manager. The manager overruled the lady who didn't know what she was talking about, but was confused. She said it SHOULD ask if it's for a handgun or rifle and it instead merely asked if I was 21 or not. She is going to talk to the day time manager in the morning for me as she wouldn't just say I'm 21 because it was unethical, which I kind of understand.

How much do you want to spend for your plinking stuff?

I have some, but only have 1 9mm gun at the moment...

Well, do some research then. :)

But didn't you just say you saw some at Walmart? How was it priced?

I'm trying to do a favor here -- don't make me do the work. ;)

I looked it up but walmart's website didn't give prices. The box at walmart was 10.37 but I'm not sure how many were in a box because she wouldn't let me see it. On the Sportsmans Warehouse website I saw a couple 100 round boxes for 25 or 30 bucks.

I'd recommend getting some at Sportsman's Warehouse if you can. Those are pretty good prices...

Out of all their 9mm, only one item was in stock (with a limit of 2 per customer): Ultramax Pistol Ammunition - Sportsman's Warehouse

$11.99 is a deal for 50 rounds of plinking ammo at this time. Grab some.

I don't know whether or not Richard was offering to sell me ammo, but it didn't seem that way to me. Also, I'm not sitting on the pot here. You pulled up a thread from over two weeks ago. I asked about ammo originally a month ago. I don't have the gun or the time right now to shoot but I would love to buy some ammo from you. I thought you only wanted to sell ammo if we shot together. I reread what you messaged me and see now I misunderstood. 10.50 a box you say?

Richard said to make an offer on the ammo he has and he'd sell some to you. That's what "Don't make me do the work means". He was telling you to do some homework on ammo prices and shoot him an offer.

Thank you, RK. I didn't pick up on that or I would've sent him an offer.

And people wonder why there is a run on ammo...

I used to wander by Wal-Mart around 7:30am and pick up some ammo. Now I can't because some a-holes ARE FOLLOWING THE TRUCKS AROUND and snaking it at 10pm the night before. That's simply ridiculous.
