On Friday i'll be picking up a Bushmaster XM-15 es2. I havn't shot a 223 since the military 30+ years ago, and have wanted one ever since. I chose the standard hard butt stock, and carry handle and won't be adding all the fancy lights, lazers, and scopes that are available, but i would appreciate information on where i could find extra mags, ammo pouches, slings, and other accesseries. Any other information on the care and feeding would also be appreciated. ( I won't be putting any steel cases through, and plan to reload)

Magpul PMAG's are the best thing since sliced bread. I tend to buy AR stuffs from PK Firearms | Online Store & Bravo Company USA, Inc. AR-15, M16, M4 Tactical Gear, Parts, Accessories. You can thank me later! |

I'm not gonna put any steel case shit thru mine either. Just picked up 600 rounds of American Eagle for 5.49 per 20 round box. I also am going to snag some 30 round mags. I'll definitely go for the Pmags. I'll most likely get 'em from my local dealer... cause I like 'em. |

Mags are available from tons of good suppliers and as stated Magpul is the way to go. As for pouches and gear it will depend on what kind you want and what quality level you want. Not sure what other accessories you want. Cant help with slings cause I build my own. It is your choice what ammo to put in your gun but steel cases don't scare me. In the past when it was half the price it only takes a few cases off ammo to really make a price difference. Depending on the price difference and the amount you shoot you can easily replace the parts IF they wear out and still be money ahead. Right now the price is so close I would buy the better ammo. Also once the snow clears up we will have to meet up and I will invite you out to my range. Last edited by nwcid; 03-08-2011 at 08:50 PM. |
