Went to Cabela's with the intention of buying a composite stock 10/22 and installing the tapco stock pictured above. I pick up the tapco T6 stock and went to the gun counter to buy the 10/22. What do I see but a Ruger factory built 10/22 w/ the Tapco stock for $299! Regular price for the 10/22 was $230 and stock was $100... this actually saved me about 30 bones. Buying this baby was a no-brainer. Used the money saved to get a couple of hi-cap magazines. Saturday is gonna rock! I also scored me a camping grill for 60% off in their bargain cave. Kickass! I'm torn on this one. Part of me thinks it's friggin cool, but part of me thinks "assault" .22 rifle? Is that really necessary? On second thought, if one was preparing to do battle with the Varmint Cong, this just might be the ideal weapon. ![]() Carl Spackler FTW! |

until I realized something: .22 is just a toy. tell me an "assault" 22 wouldn't be fun. ![]() you know it would | |

I'm all for cheap tacticool thrills! I bought me a cheap red dot yesterday. Me thinks that is all the modification that i'll be doing to it. Other than maybe putting a flash hider to make the barrel look beefy. Out to 50 yds this thing will shoot pretty accurate. I gotta have something fun to shoot after all the .45 reloads are done :) Balut and I will be at greene's gunshop in Whidbey on Saturday if anyone wants to try it out. I've got 1000 rounds of .22 to break it in with. |

Range Report... Ruger makes THE BEST rimfires! 500 rounds broken in... forgot to put locktite when attaching the red dot so it kind of loosened in the middle of the session. The 10/22 was accurate and fun as can be. Thanx Balut for the awesome gun pics ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Ruger MKI ![]() |
