I have a Ruger 10/22, that I got when I was, eh, 12 years old or so. It's still in good shape. The front sight fell off years ago, and the rear site got snagged in the old case I had and bent it, so it needs to be replaced. I also have the trigger spring that needs to be replaced. So not much on things to get it in firing order again. However, I have been looking at new stocks, new sites, new barrels for it. I've been thinking of going with a composite stock with adjustable pull length, and a heavy barrel for some time now. Anyone have any experience with the aftermarket barrels and stocks out there? What would you get? I've also looked into the 17HM2 Conversion for it. More accurate, faster... What are your thoughts? |

Trigger job, a killer scope, and a good polishing/cleaning. Oh, and then have fun. :) |

My 10/22 is mostly non-stock. I think the action is the only thing left of the original rifle. I went with a Green Mountain barrel, threaded & fluted. They seem to be a good combination of outright accuracty, while minimizing ammo pickiness (mine still gets a little picky with some of the "brick" ammo). Also have a Hogue OM stock, just cuz I wanted something fairly simple. I haven't bedded/floated the barrel in the stock yet, but it's not supposed to be a difficult process. |

mine is mostly stock with a hoage OM stock.. I want to trick the shit out of it, but goddamnit if it doesn't shoot well already and it never hangs up on cheap ammo! so I want to buy another one to build up. I love jrod's I want a bull barrel, and triger work.. less than a lb of pull I think. pretty much no end to money or mods for them. sometimes it just gets downright retarded. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
