My OBR ships this week. Anyone got a line on a TA11 or an Elcan Spectre DR with a .308 reticle?

And don't piss and moan about the size of the picture, it's a big gun.

I've never heard of anyone who's actually used Larue gear to actually fight bad guys complain. Keyboard Kommandoes may talk shit about the company but their opinion is worth nothing. If that's "coolaid" then make me another pitcher. Last edited by Brianaintright; 01-29-2010 at 10:12 AM. |

ummm seems perty complex for a laser painter What do you think it is? Oh and is it a piston gun or a blowback?? |

And by the looks of the picture its blowback, but that I am unsure of. If you look in the holes of the hand guards you can see what looks like the gas tube. | |

It's a direct dimpingement gun. I am still whole heartedly in the "piston's are for suckers" when it comes to the AR platform. They are really looking for a problem for their solution. I'm well aware of the arguments, less heat, less dirt...blah blah blah. But seriously, do any of you think you'd shoot enough rounds between cleanings to justify the expense? The weight? Some systems are well thought out but most have not gotten past the added torque on the bolt carrier. If you want a piston gun, buy one that was designed as a piston gun, not some retro-fitted abortion. |

I went with the TA11H - .308. We'll see how things work out with the 20 MOA built in when it gets here. Pretty high for scope work without a riser andI planned on using a LMT SOPMOD stock on it. We'll find out Thursday.

Man, this thing is built solid. I think you could use it as a ram and not hurt it. ACOG combo seems to work well but I'll need some serious range time to be sure. |

Forgot about this thread. Wasn't saying that larue gear isn't too quality. Just that mark has done some rather jackass things and comes off as an eliteist with his band of merry men followers nut swinging all the way. With that said, did the obr come with some Dillo dust? |
