Does anyone know of a Ruger 10/22 barrel that's 1) standard profile and 2) has threads ahead of the front sight?

I believe the 50th anniversary is standard profile, threaded with a muzzle brake. Not %100 sure though. Good luck, let me know how it works out.

Why would a long gun shooting .22lr need a muzzle brake? I'll see if I can get something like that barrel.

I read an article on the anniversary edition 10/22 a while back, and why Ruger did the things they did to it vs the stock model. apparently they put it on there to keep the muzzle clear and protect the crown from damage due to people accidentally jamming them into stuff. not really necessary IMHO... but hey it looks cool! :)
