Anyone got any ideas where to find it? Called around no one has it, been on Gunbroker and the only box of ammo I can find was done by a private party would much rather have a box from Winchester. I have a Winchester 71 which uses said ammo that I inherited from my grandfather and my uncle wants to come shooting and shoot it. I know from looking like 7 years ago they were about $50 for 20.. Anyways I'm not buying them just looking for my uncle. So certain people *cough* Grant *cough* doesn’t need get his vagina full of sand as usual.

I bet you could make 100 for the price of buying 100.

then your next 100 would be significantly cheaper.....

Cabela's skipped my mind, good thinking.. Yea it's a big round, I've only put 20 rounds through it, has some nice kick to it.. If I get better I would like to do a trek in Alaska and that's the rifle I would probably consider taking with me just incase of a bear encounter.. Reloading would be a nice alternative but I don’t have the equipment and if my life depended on it I would almost trust a factory load over a personal reload.. I've been told by people that shoot them occasionally that you have to be really careful reloading for them because of the pressure put out they can blow up if not careful which can be said for all firearms I guess.. It would suck if a bear was running at you to have your rifle blow up in your face though..

lol.

there hasn't been a factory load through my rifle in a couple years.

despite your concerns, reloading is pretty safe, I promise.

and, what I said about it being cheaper to load 100 rounds included setup, with ammo like that.

That is true.. I forgot my aunts neighbor reloads, he gave me about 100 rounds of 30-30 that he reloaded back in 76 and they fired 30 years later. I'm going up there soon i'll need to inquire, i'm sure if I buy him the supplies he'll do it, just need to do a little research for find a good load for it.
