Savage 110 bolt

Hi all, I have an older model Savage 110 in 30-06, and by older I mean 80's. The bolt locked up on me years ago, and need a new one.

Does anybody here know of a good online (or store, seattle area) resource where I can purchase a new(used) bolt assembly?

I've googled it and keep finding sites that sell all the parts that make up the bolt assembly but not the complete package.

Thanks
Toby

Not sure about 110s from the 80s, but today's Savage bolts are precision matched to the action. In the manual for my new 116, Savage explicitly states that the bolts are matched to the action and to not interchange them.

Perhaps a gunsmith can get yours working again... If you really need a new bolt, I would talk with someone in Savage customer service to get advice on how to proceed given that they don't service your model anymore.

What do mean by "locked up"? Is it visibly damaged or just stuck?
Pm me. I might be able to help if I knew exactly what the problem is.

Thanks for the input everyone. By "locked up" I mean I could not open the bolt. Something internal (pin?) fell out of place rendering it inoperable. I got it out, but, me being who I am, broke a few pieces... I still have most of it, probably bring the gun and the pieces to a GS. Thought it might me cheaper to just buy a new assembly.

You probably just need those parts replaced. A fairly easy fix. The bolt is mated to the receiver so its best to keep them together. Pm me if you would like me to look at it.
