So basically these are the requirements?
1. Be 21 yrs old
2. Have $60
3. Application
4. State issued ID

No need for these right?
1. Good moral character
2. Good cause
3. Firearm training certificate

Yes and by state issued ID it does not have to be WA state.

From the link I provided in your other post direct to the CPL, RCW 9.41.070: Concealed pistol license

(1) The chief of police of a municipality or the sheriff of a county shall within thirty days after the filing of an application of any person, issue a license to such person to carry a pistol concealed on his or her person within this state for five years from date of issue, for the purposes of protection or while engaged in business, sport, or while traveling. However, if the applicant does not have a valid permanent Washington driver's license or Washington state identification card or has not been a resident of the state for the previous consecutive ninety days, the issuing authority shall have up to sixty days after the filing of the application to issue a license. The issuing authority shall not refuse to accept completed applications for concealed pistol licenses during regular business hours.

Good call, I wasn't aware of that.

Oregon does issue out of state permits, don't they?

Only for neighboring states, so we are in luck. I have never felt the need to do it though. If I am there for fun I open carry which is legal. If I am there for work..... well it stays put away well.

What kind of proof would the issuing authority accept to be called a resident? Would rental agreement be acceptable?

That I dont know. I would assume a WA drivers license with your current (WA) address on it would be proof.

I was saying you dont need to be a resident to get a WA CPL. IF you are not or have not been a resident for 90 days it can take longer to get the CPL, but you can get one. That was my point.

yep, WDL. but you'll need the proof of residence (Like your rental agreement, paycheck stub, or a utility bill from a county/city organization)

Time to make phone calls and ask!
Some counties are more EZer to get a permit than others.
I'd call local gun shops (better, stop in) and, ask.
Oregon has (2) counties on the central and eastside its EZer to get a permit than in others.
They DO require a Oregon approved Safety class and a letter of intent (Why I want to carry concelled).
Prior to issue.
If you have prior convictions, depending on what they are. It can't help.
Having training and a clean record, is a plus.

bzzzzzzz
open carry is illegal in portland and beaverton proper without an Oregon CHL!
Guess what you drive through going I5 south through town (the only way to get through Oregon) or going 26 west (going to browns camp)? Both of those
Careful!

The John Day Sheriff in Oregon's Grant county will issue permits to non residents as long as they meet the requirements...Basically Oregon is a Shall Issue State for residents and a May Issue for non residents....BTW Oregon only accepts Oregon permits, a Utah permit won't cover you...

I need to go up to Wa here soon and apply for an out of state cwp. I have family in the Tacoma area and want to visit without having to stow my 1911. Anyone have a recommendation as to a good county to go apply that would be on the south side of Washington? Anywhere near I-5 would be preferred so I don't have to drive into the middle of nowhere to apply.

Can you still get a CCW if you have any traffic tickets? Reckless driving ?

Yes... it has to be a felony, domestic violence, etc. If you have a restraining order or documented history of mental problems, no go on those too.

But traffic tickets, even reckless, will not prevent you from getting your permit.
