Pros/Cons?

I looked at bumping down to a 9mm PF9 cuz it would work better with dress pants but I'm a big guy and I can shoot my FNP45 well so I'd like to stick with the same caliber for convenience sake.

Just looking for some real life experiences with the 36.

Much obliged,

Al

What you'll find with the glock, XD, S&W M&P is that they are all bricks in terms of thickness. I love my M&P, and I had glocks before it. Great guns, but they are so thick, if you are a relatively big guy you should try out the full lines of guns, not just the so called compacts. I guess I'm saying that the compacts aren't... They are shorter, but length has never been a problem for me. How fat it is has been a problem.

I have a G36 I carry in a Side Guard IWB, I like it very much. Light and Slim but still a 45acp and a decent barrel lenght 3.78" just my two cents.:top:

G36 = single stack... not so fat.

OP, you might want to look at the Kahr PM45 too. It's a little smaller in every dimension than the G36, though it is 5+1 vs 6+1 in the Glock.

Then there's one of my favorites in this 'class'.... the Colt Defender.

From an Okie soon to be visiting Seattle: I carry a G36 quite often. Awesome gun for me; just a tiny bit smaller than a G19 but that little bit of thinness makes a lot of differnce IWB. PLUS...it is a .45acp...
