Greeting from Oklahoma! My wife and I are going to be visiting Seattle; going to spend a lot of time (and a lot of money) in Pike's Market and eat some seafood that is not frozen, square, and in a plastic bag like we have here! WA and OK do share reciprocity for concealed weapons holders. I have an OK CCW license. I have read as much as I can find online, including the WA statutes RCW 9.41. I have a couple of questions:
1. Can I carry on the Seattle to Bainbridge Ferry?
2. Any places in Pikes Market that I should avoid?
3. Is there anything else particular I should know?
We are really looking forward to visiting your beautiful city!

You can carry on the ferry's. I take the Bainbridge ferry all the time and always carry.

You can't carry in bars, you can carry in restaurants, even if they serve alcohol but not in the part that is restricted to 21 and over.

Look for these signs:

Pike Place Market for the most part is safe, you will lot's of panhandlers but they are not normaley very agresive, their is a small park at the north end of the market were most of them hang out and sleep. When you are in the market shop arounf for your seafood, I have found they all have good stuff, but some are more expensive than others, their is a small stand in the north end of the market that will make you a great fresh crab cocktail, I would also check out Anthony's Home Port. As for CCW advice the only think I would add to what others have said is to remember that Seattle is a very, very liberal city, so if your shirt pulls up and someone sees your weapon they may call the police and or say something stupid to you. Hope you enjoy your trip
