CCW training opportunities in September...

I'm hosting another training session at my dojo on Sept. 7, 7-9pm. What we'll cover depends on who shows up, but I intend to quickly cover some basic pistol handling skills, and integration with hand to hand material.

Thanks for doing this for our community. I wish I could attend, but I have a family birthday party I will be going to. If you do more of these in the future, let us know and I will try to make it for sure.

I'm trying to offer a training session at least every other month at my dojo. This summer has been challenging but going forward hopefully we can work that out.

As for live fire classes, the rest of this year I'll only be doing the Close Range Gunfighting course next weekend.

Next year my partner and I will likely only conduct three live fire classes. I'll definitely be teaching a course we call "0-5" Gunfighting", which is basically a mix of live fire, hand to hand, and force on force (airsoft sparring). We'll likely do an additional pistol class and perhaps a fighting rifle class. I'll keep folks posted.

Reminder for anyone in the area, I'm offering a training class this evening in Bothell.

Bring your CCW gear, leave the ammo at home. We'll have a mix of novices and people that have trained with me before...for the novices we'll cover the draw, some basic manipulations, etc. More advanced folks we'll get into integrating hand to hand material.

We had a lot of fun. Some characters in class this time.

Made sure everyone's safety awareness was up to spec, did some prep for next weekend's Close Range Gunfighting class, introduced some moving & shooting concepts, discussed some things for further practice. Covered a bit of hand to hand material.

Had some good discussion and show & tell after. One of my students is a gun smith and brought out a 300 blackout AR pistol he had built. It's a very nice piece, very much a viable option in lieu of SBRs here in this state. It's a little cramped but the pistol buffer works out just fine as a stock.

I just added a Links Page to our site to promote more classes geared to women (since most of us feel funny training with men) and would be happy to add your class, if you offer anything like that.
