So far I've been pocket-carrying. I'd like to carry something a bit more substantial. This would seem to require me to adopt some sort of IWB holster. I'm also big, around 300 pounds and 6'1". What sort of holsters would be particularly appropriate for me?

5'10....290lbs I use the original n82tactical in the waist holster I love it. I put it on and never have to touch it until I take it off. extremely comfortable. I understand the pro series is just as comfortable also re holstering is much easier with the pro series. https://www.n82tactical.com/ |

I am 6'3", was up to about 240lb. I use and love my Crossbreed Supertuck. I carry an XDm, full sized pistol. I have been thinking about going to the compact, but I have no problem concealing what I carry now, and it is super comfortable.

I have a Crossbreed Supertuck as well for an XD. Really nice. I want to try a N82 Tactical for the XDs, just haven't gotten around to ordering it. 6'6" 290lb here. |

I don't carry IWB as much anymore. When I do its with a Kramer IWB #3. Now I carry OWB 99% of the time and that's with a Krounds OWB pancake holster.
