Printing

I have learned a lot from reading forums regarding CC and experiences people go through, though I would add mine.

I was at a store where judging by peoples reaction it was known that i was carrying, even though I had a large heavy coat due to the cold and never opened it beyond normal wear requirements.

But i was walking around bored waiting for someone and in the process, browsing with both hands in pockets squeezing my coat for warmth around me.

Well i came home and looked in the mirror and doggone it, it's a perfect print.

So just want to pass it on, as the look I got was one of drop jaw
but nothing was said.

In the course of the transaction my ID was asked for which was normal, so even they report by phone nothing should come of it.

but I live in the area of the Tigard mall where the incident happened what, a year two years ago?
So I'm not going there and be a victim with no choices.

So I will be aware of this and it's probably just rookie mistake as have been CC for less than two years.

Anyway that's my story and I'm sticking to it for whatever gain it can be to others, do not hesitate to relate yours, as I learn from you and yours also.

Reyzor.

By the way my EDC is a S&W M&P 9mm double stack with an OWB Bianchi holster, not a problem with weather but does not take much to print if hugged too close.

Full size M&P .40

With the proper clothing, it can be hidden well. Daily carry, daily clothes. Always check the look before you leave the house if you are concerned about printing.

I would also recommend an IWB rather than OWB. This time of year, it will print much, much less.

The holster above is a Galco King-Tuk. It is placed just off an appendix carry position to allow for less printing and ease of draw.

Thanks I appreciate the advice I do not like in the waistband holsters because they tend to stick into my side but because of the weather I'm going to have to look into that

Speaking for myself, your situation seems different, but often when I carry I feel paranoid as if everyone knows that I am carrying concealed. I'm freaked out that the gun is printing thru my clothing. 99% of the time it is just my mind playing tricks on me. 99% of the time no one is looking at me that closely. I'm insignificant to them as they go about their lives. The only time I'm checking someone else out is if they are acting strangely or it's a hot babe. :)

But your right, you got to be comfortable and discreet.
