Need Help with Understanding Utah CCW for Oregon Resident
I'm interested in signing up for a Utah CCW Permit course with Threat Dynamics in Sherwood, OR (Portland suburb). Although I don't quite understand what rights I get with it. IE, it works in Oregon but not Washington? Can I use it in states on the list when travelling through? What about airline travel?
Also where does the Sheriff's paperwork and fingerprints take place, and application directly through them, or is this handled by the Organization running the course?

Utah CCW is only good for states with reciprocity for the Utah permit. Washington I think, Idaho, Montana, etc.
Oregon CCW requires it's own separate class and is good in Oregon only, although sometimes you can find combined UTAH/Oregon classes or Florida/Oregon classes. The ONLY CCW permit that works in Oregon is the Oregon permit, they have no reciprocity with any other state.

Fyi -the Utah will get you Washington (and about 28 other states, but not OR) as long as you don't live in WA. If you live in WA you must have the WA CPL. Oregon gets you only OR.
Clear as mud, right?
