| next gun?
I currently have a few glocks, a 1911, a remington 870 and an SKS with a butler creek stock. At this point, what would you get next? I don't hunt so i have no desire for long rifles. I was debating on perhaps an H&K USP .40, but kind of want an ar-15 in a .308 What say you? |

I'm thinking an AR...varmint style...in a deer-legal caliber...or maybe something else that strikes my fancy in the long time before I can buy another gun...

How about a .22LR of some kind? One of the most versatile guns one can own. Bout the cheapest thing around to shoot, too.

I really don't have a desire to own a .22 I thought about buying one for my boy, but have no desire to shoot one myself. I like guns that go bang when i shoot them. That RRA is only a .223, I've shot those enough at work, and don;t like the round. |

Well if you want bang you can't beat the Mosin Nagant for bang, muzzle flash, and it has a nice kick. Very cheap to buy and very cheap to feed. :)

Rifle cartridge vs. handgun cartridge comparisons are a bit unbalanced. The real question is what purpose does the new firearm serve. I've got short, medium, and long rifle ranges covered. I also have short and long distance shotgun ranges covered. I've got low power self-defense and target pistols covered. Higher power is not always the desired result. |

probably a larger caliber rifle.... I'd love a .30-06, but i can't justify one because i don't hunt, but i do like them. Maybe a revolver of some sort? or a semi auto .22? i don't need another gun for a long time. |

pretty much the only thing my collection is lacking is a REALLY BIG 50 :) I'm not in a hurry though. If I see a good deal on one, I'll pick it up, if not then not.

You sure leave that open. It is much easier to help with some idea of what you want or what you want it for. There are lots of good AR-10 out there on the market. I have no desire for one in .308, I have other .308's. I am hoping to build one in .243 this year just cause it is what I want and I have had the receiver for a while now. Some guys have mentioned the M1A and I say great choice, ![]() Just remember .308 ammo is not going to be cheep. If you really want a pistol size gun and a like big bangs, Super Shorty |
