So today, Google chrome (and Firefox presumably haven't tested it) reports that slickguns.com AND northwestfirearms.com are both malware sites. They are restricting access.

Seriously? WTF.
Are we censoring gun related content from the internet? So now we're ******* with the 1st and 2nd amendment? Cool.

Confirmed with FF also.

I also went to the sites with Internet Exploder. Those websites promptly tried to download and install malware.

DO NOT VISIT THOSE SITE UNLESS YOU HAVE KICKASS ANTIVIRUS!

The threat is real although not what you think.

Got the same warning from my computer anti virus program. Figure less a freedom of speech issue, and more a hack attack from some liberal do gooder computer group. maybe some kind of keylogger. Don't think DOJ could be quite that sophisticated, yet.

I'm 90% positive this is related to the new Java exploit that was talked about a couple days ago. At least in my world it was as I perform some IT duties for our company.

This.

I tried it and Trend Micro blocked it for both Firefox and IE. It's not censorship, those sites got hacked or otherwise infested with malware. I'd guess they'll have it cleaned up soon. But yeah, don't go there in the meantime.

On NWF it came out yesterday that it was one of the linked ads that carried the virus. I believe Joe is doing a bunch of maintaince on the site today. But that has not been confirmed.

What I cant understand is why no one can get a hold of the site owner, and no updates on their Facebook page....

Just signed up here because NWFA is down. Not sure what's going on, but the tinfoil hat is looking more and more appealing.

I joined this site today after failing for a day now to get on NWF. I too was getting all the warnings and posted that something was wrong on the forum there and next thing I know the website went down.

Tried off and on at work yesterday with no luck, from home on an Ipad, Android phone and the Windows laptop with no luck.

Whatever happened must have been very serious from the amount of time it's taking to get the site back up.

On the bright side it caused me to find this site. So not all is lost.
