I wrote to my WA state representative about my concern for the new gun laws proposed by WA legislators. Here's my response.
Mr. Roberts,
Thank you for writing about our Second Amendment rights. I want you to know that I will continue working to protect this right. I also want to bring to your attention Article I, Section 24 of the Washington State Constitution. "The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself, or the state, shall not be impaired, but nothing in this section shall be construed as authorizing individuals, corporations to organize, maintain or employ an armed body of men." This is even a stronger protection of our rights than is the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
