Gun Owners of America

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You Could Lose all your Guns before 2035
under the Amnesty Bill before the Senate

We’ve written you before about the immigration amnesty bill that will be debated on the Senate floor beginning June 10.

We had just been through a hard fight to stop gun bans and registration. And some of you may have even felt the immigration amnesty was not a “gun” issue.

But if the amnesty bill is passed, within 20 years, Washington could be as anti-gun as Albany, Hartford, and Sacramento.

This is because the bill will create at least 11,500,000 new citizens -- but probably closer to 20,000,000 -- and, if history is any guide, they will vote 71% of the time for far Left Democrats like Barack Obama.

Impartial analysts have determined that Florida, Colorado, Nevada, and probably Arizona will never vote for Republicans again. Given this, for the rest of your life, the White House will be occupied by someone who is just as anti-gun and just as liberal as Barack Obama.

Conservatives in the Senate think that they can woo new immigrants to their side of the aisle. But it is informative that, after the last amnesty bill (the 1986 Simpson-Mazzoli bill signed by Ronald Reagan), those people given citizenship were LESS LIKELY to vote for more conservative and constitutional candidates.

Currently, the two political parties nationally, stand in a delicate political balance. Mitt Romney lost the presidency by 334,000 votes in four states (Florida, Ohio, Virginia and New Hampshire).

So if you add a net gain of almost 8.5 million Obama voters to the electorate, the same amnesty that turned California “blue” will probably turn the whole country anti-gun as well.

Already, the calls for gun confiscation in “blue” and “purple” states are growing louder and louder:

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said that “confiscation could be an option” after the Sandy Hook shooting;
Likewise, an Iowa legislator said that we need to “start taking” guns from law-abiding gun owners;
This year, legislation in both Minnesota and Missouri would have (if enacted) forced residents to cough up their high-capacity magazines and many of their semi-automatic firearms;
And legislators in New Jersey were recently caught on an open microphone saying that “we needed a bill that was going to confiscate, confiscate, confiscate.”
By 2035, the battle will no longer be about stopping the expansion of background checks. Most likely, it will be about stopping the government from coming to take your guns away. And there is nothing we will be able to do about it.

ACTION: Click here to contact your Senators and urge them to vote against the anti-gun immigration amnesty bill.

take-action

Or maybe the GOP can stop pandering soley to the uber rich and corporate America at the expense of everyone else and to the utter detriment of the country as a whole, then maybe people would actually vote for them again.

Oh and being racist, homophobic and misogynistic doesn't help much either in an ever more diverse country.

Well I can tell you this much. If the government comes to my front door demanding to take my guns then they will be met with the barrel of my gun.

It's that simple come for my guns and expect there to be a fight!

If the left is so concerned about the corporate influence in the right, I wonder why they attack the tea party so much. Seems like a pretty viable anti-corporate influence. And can you please provide info detailing the racism, homophobia and misogyny that the gop exhibits? Thanks..

Provide details on the racism, homophobia and misogyny of the GOP? Are you serious?   You'd have to be totally brainwashed fool to not see it everywhere in everything they do. What does the GOP have to offer anyone who isn't white and rich?

Let's see.. their so-called 'voter reform' to fix a problem that doesn't exist, and alienates MILLIONS of voters, who all happen to be minorities, that generally vote democrat... gee, just a coincidence?

Or their open hatred of gays and gay marriage.

I could go on and on and on. Or you could just take a peek at the news outside of Fox and maybe you'd learn something.

Do you show ID when you buy a gun, Pete? How about when you buy booze or a cigar? Why is it such a racist imposition to show ID when you vote? And while we're on the subject of disenfranchising voters, why don't we talk about immigration reform and expanding the democratic voting base? Of course, the left has never connected that blanket amnesty would add millions of voters to the democratic party, right? They just want to add 12 million illegals (who vote predominantly democratic) out of the goodness of their hearts?

And please show me how DOMA equals hatred of gays.

Oh so you're a racist then? The only 'real Americans' are white Anglos, right?

I am curious why a left wing democrat would subject themselves to a predominately conservative forum?
A little masochistic tendency or just to disrupt ? Really never could figure that one.

Seriously, do a little investigating about the so-called voter reform, and the so-called fix, and tell me with a straight face it's anything BUT a naked attempt to disenfranchise voters, and yes democratic voters, as the 'fix' to this 'problem' is from the GOP.

It's also quite common knowledge the GOP is the party of old white guys. Do we really need to revisit the howling and bleating from the right when a (gasp!) black man was elected president? There were calls for revolution, it was quite disgusting. Funny how you never hear calls for revolution from the left when their guy doesn't win, ain't it?

The DOMA is a joke on the face of it. Please do tell how gay people getting married is any 'threat' to straight marriage? It's not, never has been, never will be. It's another naked attempt to shove religion down people's throats. NEWS FLASH: this country is not a theocracy, never was, never will be. So keep your 'god' out of our laws, thankyouverymuch. The founding father were very, very clear about separation of church and state.

And pray tell, what would your solution to the immigration issue be? Build a stupid wall? Ship em all back to Mexico? Yeah right. It's simple supply and demand. As long as there's a demand for super cheap labor illegals perform, there will be a supply. How about fining the every loving **** out of any company that knowing employs illegals? Simple solution that will never happen.

Who's a left wing democrat? Gee, assume much? Certainly not me. I'm just not a brainwashed right wing sheep like you. Get a clue. They are ALL corrupt, lying sacks of **** that could give a flying **** about people like you or me. If you think the GOP has all the answers and if the dems would just get out of the way everything would be peachy keen, you are a deluded fool.

The whole right/left thing is just a big game, a con to keep the masses all bickering amongst themselves about stupid petty bullshit so they ignore how the govt is screwing us all over royally. Well by 'us all' I mean we the people, not corporate America & Wall St etc, which is who the govt really serves.

Well from observation there is little else one could deduct from your conversation.
If talks like one and thinks like one it must be one.
I sure dont see any conservativism or patriotism emanating from your viewpoints. That doesn't leave much to choose from in descriptive impression.

The only thing he said in favor of liberals is that they don't call for revolution when conservatives win. (Revolution is more of a conservative idea anyways.) Two party systems are tools of the super rich. It makes everything about politics a bickering us vs them game and not about the country. There's no party that works for you and I.

-Didn't you just say that voter fraud was a non issue? So who would be disenfranchised? Name 1 important transaction in America that doesn't require ID. Buying a car, cashing a check, buying a beer or a pack of smokes.. Here's a scenario. Why don't we stop requiring ID to fly on an airplane? We wouldn't want to exclude people from flying, would we?

-Please explain to me how saying the GOP is a party of "old white guys" isn't blatantly racist, ageist, and sexist? You can't say that the GOPs view on voter ID is racist, and then in the next breath reduce an entire political party to its racial components. Would it be racist if I said that the democratic left is the party of black people, and then say that black people freak out every time a white guy is elected president?

-Calls for revolution aren't about race. They're about the blatantly illegal and unconstitutional overreach of our government.

-I don't necessarily agree with DOMA. As a matter of fact, I voted for gay marriage. My political views are very libertarian. If it doesn't hurt me, and it's not unconstitutional, then it's not my business. But you still haven't told me how DOMA equals hatred of gay people?

-Please show me where the constitution says "separation of church and state".

-My solution to illegal immigration is simple, and similar to yours.
1. Fine the ever loving **** out of any company that hires illegals.
2. Close the border. Close it %100, in any way possible, and defend it aggressively.
3. Aggressively track and remove anyone in the US that is here illegally, and bar anyone here illegally from ever immigrating in the future.
4. Fix our incredibly screwed up immigration system so that it is more efficient.
5. Create an efficient guest worker program for low skill, low wage workers. We let them in for seasonal labor with an efficient entry system. We track them as they work through a season, and then they leave. If they don't leave on time, they never get to come back. If they break the law while they're here, they go to jail, and then never come back. While they're here, they pay taxes (not medicare/SS, obviously), and can only receive limited public assistance.
6. Require proof of citizenship before receiving ANY public assistance.
7. Change the law so that only the children of citizens are automatically citizens.

The "super cheap labor pool" that we allow is de facto slavery, and should be treated as such. We have created a sub class of non citizens that is immoral and reprehensible. It's also incredibly immoral how the left uses public assistance to woo illegals, knowing they (or their descendants) will probably vote democratic once they're able.

Who's a left wing democrat? Gee, assume much? Certainly not me. I'm just not a brainwashed right wing sheep like you. Get a clue. They are ALL corrupt, lying sacks of **** that could give a flying **** about people like you or me. I agree to the second part of what you said, but not the first. You are about as far left as left goes..

Well if you're totally brainwashed by the 'right vs left' 'conservative vs liberal' bullshit paradigm and incapable of seeing things in any way but black or white, that's your problem, not mine. Just because I don't march in lock step with traditional conservative dogma does not automatically make me a liberal, except to people like you.

And the fact that you automatically associate conservatism with patriotism is hilarious. Just because I call a spade a spade makes me unpatriotic? Yeah right.

We'll have to agree to disagree.
Off to important issues :)
