either way, I'm pretty sure the NRA is set to tie it up in red tape and cost us zillions of dollars to prove how good they are at failing to get legislation stopped, but they'll send out pleas for money

Don't count on the NRA to do anything. Either the Bloomberg camp has them running scared or this just doesn't fit their plans. They have no interest in keeping our 2nd Amendment rights safe, just the money people will pay them.
The NRA's time has passed, seems all they do lately is ask for money but do nothing for its members.. Perhaps they should step aside and let the GOA have a crack at things.
