If you looking for a .22 plinker, I'd get a Ruger 10/22. They are cheap (starting around 200), and huge amounts of accessories available for them from tacticool to match stuff.

You can fire 22 sub sonic in the 10/22... just possibly not in the semi-auto basis. Mine will do it some times yes, sometimes no. I used to shoot a bunch of 22 CB Longs at pigeons in grain eleveators. It was purely single shot, but that was all I could get at each pigeon, anyway. CB longs are the same bullet as 22 short - 29 grain bullet - in a LR case. very quiet and very slow. 10/22's are where i would go with a 22 plinker... 3 in the gun safe. The punp does sound interesting, but then, so does the SIG 522. Just get what makes YOU happy. |
