Yea! I put a few hundred rounds of .22lr thru it over in idaho yesterday but did'nt bring a .223 AR.
.22lr AR fits in my backpack because with the freefloat tube/barrel nut I can pull the barrel off it in a couple of seconds.

Nope, just technically illegal to shoot in WA based on a poorly worded section of law, RCW 9.41.250: Dangerous weapons ? Penalty ? Exemption for law enforcement officers.
You need to find a local NFA dealer and talk to them. Find out if there is a local LEO that will sign off on them or not. If not you will have to set up a Trust or LLC. You will need a NFA dealer no matter what route you go unless you find a private part one for sale in state so you might as well go make friends with one.
