Am I being too crabby?

I was working with my slug gun at the range yesterday and kept getting pelted by some dudes .22 brass 2 lanes away. I had to ask him to use the shields, and he looked a little annoyed.

A week ago I got hit with a sizzling .308 brass and the guy was apologetic and re-adjusted the shield he was already using.

I think flying brass is part of the deal, but having a little consideration for others isn't unreasonable...or am I being a crabby old man?

why you asking b ?
its hard to say because so many people are out at the range for the first time and are not use to having people right next to them when shooting, plus being nervous about remember all the new rules etc..

Your not crabby. You just asking for a little consideration.
The same you offer to others on the range.
I always ask, 'My spent case's are not bothering you, are they'?
I adjust if need be.

Just move to the far left lane if its possible. that way its non issue.

Kenmore=6 leftmost lanes are 50yds, the remaining are 100yds.

I generally don't like to make too much of a stink about anything, but getting pelted in the face for the third time while lining up my shot sux.

Now get off my lawn.

Not going to lie, I love having my own 300 yard range after hearing so many of these kinds of stories.

Sounds like you are right. It is one thing if a guy pops off a few rounds and does not know, but to not care would be a different story......

not apologetic: eff that guy.

**** happens, people don't realize what's going on toward the non-business end of their rifles, and just before deer season opens....

but if he realizes what's going on and doesn't apologize for hitting you with brass...eff that guy.

*I was going to head to kenmore last weekend...but decided against it...

Throw the brass back at him as hard as you can. Aim for the head. That usually works for me.
