Decisions, decisions.... So let me have it, pros and cons of both. Want to standardize, but don't know which way to go. We have our own ideas, now we want to know yours. Thanks! |

AR15. HK's are cool but parts are a bitch and they do break. Try waiting six months for a roller retaining clip. Clone HK's don't always run well so a trip to an quality HK gunsmith may be in order. Mounts for sights or scopes are spendy (you can buy cheap ones but they have been known to pinch the receiver to the point that it causes malfunctions) less options for sights (Although HK sights are pretty good) and accessories. AR15 has great parts availibility, shoots smoother, generally lighter and you can put what you want on it. Buy a Colt, a BCM or an LMT and you'll have no problems. |

Is it a clone or a real HK? Cause if it's a genuine HK you could get 2 or 3 pimped out AR's for the price of one HK..

As usual, it all comes down to cost.... 2 for 1 deals always get me! Thanks for the input! |

Read this. It's a now-famous Joke post from long ago on the THR forum (and by the way, I'm a big fan of the G3-based guns.) Quote:

What is the average cost for both? I have no idea of how much these things can be. I remember I was dating a guy on a dating site, pop over to this website. And he was fond of guns. So when he told me about costs his hobby required, I was simply shocked. This fun cost a fortune. You need to have a very good income to be able to pay for it. It is not affordable for me at the moment.
