Big 4 Ice Caves

hey guy's I asked this on PNR but I figured this is more of a Question for the guns section, I'm hiking up there with a friend tomorrow, was curious if that is an area you're able to carry a firearm or if it's off limits to firearms, not that I would be shooting strictly self defense, I have a feeling it's fine but I just wanted to make sure, better safe than sorry.

I have always carried up there. I don't remember anywhere saying you can't... The last time I was there was last year when that little girl got killed by a huge chunk of falling ice.

And no, those wonderful "federal stuctures" called "Pit Toilets" or Restrooms don't qualify as "forbidden". Just make sure you don't drop your firearm down the hole.

Of course, if there were no federal government, then we wouldn't be having this conversation. The ice caves would be in private hands. They either wouldn't exist, or it would cost you $20 bucks per person to visit them. And if the private owners decided that they didn't want firearms on their lands, you'd go look at the ice caves bare handed.

The lesson? The federal government is evil.

Your almost right. As it is, we all pay taxes to support the surrounding area of these "Naturally Formed" caves but then are charged again to enjoy it.

Taxpayers should get free passes send out with their tax forms. Let the "Visitors" or non tax payers pay for their permits to use these facilities.

No Government isn't "Evil", just "Greedy" and "Stupid".
