Does anyone know of any shop that stocks Charles Daly 1911's in Washington? Also does anyone know anything about this brand?

I was just browsing around & the Charles Daly M5 Ultra X Compact HiCap 1911 caught my eye & I would like to check it out if I could get to a shop with one in stock.

I have been eyeballing the Para Warthog, but the frame is just too short to fit comfortably in my hand.

Here's a pic of the Charles Daly M5 Ultra X Compact HiCap 1911.

Looks just like a Kimber Ultra Ten II, which I used to own.

IMO, if you're gunna get a 1911, stick with single stack. If you want a double-stack 45, get an XD.

Why don't you like the double stack in 1911's? Is it just the width of the frame?

I already have an XD .45, just lookin for another toy.

Charles Daly or should I say Rock Island Armory makes excellent 1911's. check out user reviews at
forum.m1911.org

I've heard rumors that they changed their manufacuring to bul of israel in 09 because RIA picked up the STI line.
