New Ruger release 5/15/09

I'm a sucker for cheap, reliable and american made guns. Arite their track record for new guns has been off the past couple of releases (sr9 + lcp) but i'm still hugeass fan.

Another platform redifined? I'm crossing my fingers for a 1911 release

I'm still wondering if they're going to add an SR40 or SR45? But that wouldn't be a platform redefined...

A 1911 is a good bet. How about that Mini 14 in .50 BMG? :laugh:

I realize it's a blatant copy.. but to actually make it in .308 is probably the worst case scenario

My dad's got a M1, M14, and a mini14

I'm sorry, I wouldn't pay $2000.00 for anything made by Ruger!

Why not? I'm guessing real street prices will be lower than that. But it is a piston-driven design, and is pretty much pimped out from the factory. Would I pay *extra* for it? No. But would I consider it if it was priced similar to other comparable piston ARs? You betcha!

My two of my oldest guns are Rugers... 10/22 rifle and Mk II 22/45 pistol. 20+ years on both and still going strong. My lil LCP is one of my fav guns right now. I likea da Rugers!

The only Ruger's that I like are the 10/22's. I will admit that I haven't owned that many of them, but after a P89:lol: as my very first pistol when I turned 21 & a few Mini14's that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, I just haven't had good luck with them.
