I know it's a ways off, but it's never too early to start thinking about, right? Who has been? Was it worth it? Got any inside info? Anything I shouldn't miss? http://www.shotshow.org/ TIA! |

I've actually never been. From the way their page is worded, it looks like they change locations every year? I'm sure it'd be an interesting trip. |

Shot Show rocks. Days and days of walking and you still can't see everything that there is to be seen. Went two years ago last time it was in Vegas, made a ton of great industry contacts, walked for two days straight, talked with dozens of vendors, fingered every gun on the market, and even some that weren't. Ended up backing around a small safe we got as a "demo" for the better half of the second day. It was awesome, way to much to take in for the unprepared. It is more geared towards shop owners than the general public, but anyone can attend, it just makes it easier to get free stuff and access to back rooms if you've got millitary, law enforcement, or FFL credentials. I set up a few really good accounts at shot show, you get to see the really good products, but more important was getting to see all the crappy stuff before you order it in and realize it's crap. I'll probably be going this year, making plans now if anyone is seriously thinking about going let me know. |
