I'm not normally a fan of FAS but sometimes they bring in good outside instructors - Hackathorn is reportedly good to go.

Equipment: Handgun, safe belt holster, at least 3 magazines or speed loaders and pouches, 500 rounds of ammunition, body armor if you have it, wrap-around eye protection, ear muffs and kneepads. Prerequisite: Defensive Handgun or equivalent 40 hours training.
