Whats the difference between a 'Springfield Armory' XD or XD(M) pistol?

Both are great. You can pick whichever looks, or feels better for you and know you got a good one. | |

Newer more refined design & a higher capacity in 9mm & .40cal. Same capacity in .45cal.

The trigger has a shorter take up and reset, the finish is more durable, "match grade" barrel, replaceable back-straps, relief of the frame around the mag release, higher capacity mags, slightly different rail, grip molding is more aggressive, and easier take-down. I'm planning on disabling/removing the newer take-down system from my competition gun when I do the trigger job. Some think it's a feature, some don't. They are great guns James. I've owned several xd's and xdm's. You won't be disappointed in either.

I love my XD 45! Can never get over how reliable and durable this damn thing is. I have put more rounds through it then any other gun I have and still has never jammed and has never had a single issue!!!!
