Interview With Local Gun Range Owner

Thought I'd share this... found the entire conversation very interesting, listened to it on the way home from school today.

Gun Range Owner Rejected Shooter

My only question for this guy was if his suspicions were so extreme, why didn't he at least make a report with authorities? But it's probably hind-sight for him now.

What surprised me was Luke Burbank didn't get on his anti-gun band-wagon.

Well, I haven't listened/read the thing yet, so maybe this comment is misplaced. But I certainly don't want to live in a world where everyone's watching each other and reporting on everything.

That sounds like something an internal gov't organization would just love to implement though. Get everyone reporting on things that no one has even done -- just suspicion...

Sounds very New World Order to me.

I read it. The guy seemed weird on his answering machine message & didn't return calls. What's to report?

How many people seem weird to you? Could you imagine if everyone reported on every person they thought was weird? Police state much? ;)

Haven't gotten all the way through it but it didn't sound like he "denied" anything. The shooter just never called him back.

Sounds like this owner is looking for some free advertising.

Right. He's in Colorado. He was interviewed on a local station here which is not syndicated. THEY contacted him, in fact so it doesn't sound like free adverts.

Yeah, I noticed the guy said something along the lines of, "If he comes in, I want to talk to him." I guess that could be construed as a "denial" until cleared by him in some way.

Except how did the news get any info on this story if the owner didn't start squawking? How did they know to call?

Too many people looking to cash in on the tragedy always makes me suspicious. Not saying you're wrong qball, just saying there is not a lot here. A tagline of "denies shooter gun range access" makes for good ratings but in the story, that never happened. He never even spoke to the guy.
