why you asking b ?
Anyone else seen how people are already jacking the price up to 3200 to 3500 for a typical AR-15. Damn son:banghead: I am glad I made the buys i did before all this. At least my 5.56 tripled in value over night

i really dont see all the hype for Pmags.

its a magazine....

They will take a ton of abuse and still work fine. Most other metal AR mags won't stand up to the same kind of abuse and still work with out any problems.

yeah.. it's utter bullshit.

If some of the proposed legislation actually goes through, these prices might stick around for a while..

If some of the proposed legislation goes through, our little black rifles will become NFA items that will eventually be endangered species!

As my good friend Pete would say, the price hike is due to a bunch of Chicken Littles.

I just didn't see this coming when I should have. I have/had things on order when this all blew up, but they quickly became on "backorder". At least my pricing is still in tact though...

If I felt strongly enough that this stuff wouldn't go through I might just sell what I have to make a bunch of money. Sadly, I'm not quite that confident so I'm keeping what I have...

Any of you guys willing to sell now?

I think I will keep what I have. I doubt they will let any part of the bill go through since its so extreme. Maybe if it was just the 94 ban over again they might do it, but its way more out there then the 94 bill.

This will be hype for a bit longer. Supply will catch back up in a few months and prices wont be so crazy. Time to sit back and watch the NRA do its work...

We shall see. The last time (Obama's election) it absolutely was chicken littles, as Obama made exactly zero overtures about any gun laws. And in fact, he relaxed some laws, and certainly didn't make any new ones. So yes, all that gouging and bullshit was just that... bullshit paranoia at it's worst.

This time is different though, there is the Sandy Hook tragedy that has brought gun control front and center again. But Feinstein's bill is so overreaching, I just can't see it happening.

So let's assume it doesn't pass and the whole thing goes away... how long will the gouging and 'shortages' continue this time? I've already pretty much written off all my plans for shooting this year, as ammo will likely be stupid expensive, if you can find it, for at least a few months I'd imagine. :motz:

I don't think it was "chicken little" right after BHO's first election. There were good reasons to believe he, and the Democratic party which held a super majority in the House and Senate, would go after the 2A, based on their stances, voting records, and the people BHO chose for his cabinet and ultimately the SCOTUS. THE only things that stopped BHO was that he lost the House and a few seats in the Senate, and his #1 priority of getting reelected so that he could make the changes he really wanted to make.

This time things are different than in 2009, and things (the market) are not coming back.

Thank you for proving my point, chicken little. Did Obama campaign on more gun control? Did he ever SAY he wanted to enact more gun control? Or did you just assume that purely cuz he's a democrat, and so that must be what he was going to do the second he was sworn in?

So let's look at the FACTS instead of lame ASSumptions: Obama did NOT campaign on more gun control. Obama did NOT attempt to pass or support any stricter gun control (despite having a majority). Obama DID sign laws allowing concealed carry in state parks. So he actually RELAXED gun control laws, not tightened them. Kinda flies directly in the face of your assumptions, doesn't it? But hey, never let the facts stand in the way of some good ol fashioned paranoia.

Did you know Mitt Romney voted for tighter gun control in his home state, supported the original AWB and was at one time given an "F" rating by the NRA? The only truly 'safe' candidates in terms of gun rights would have been Ron Paul or Gary Johnson, neither of which had a snowball's chance in hell of getting elected.

I agree this time is different, because of the rash of mass-shootings, esp Sandy Hook. Had these not happened, I seriously doubt you'd be hearing anything about gun control. Both sides have been focusing on the economy, as they should be. But now the gun-grabbers are out in full force, and the ignorant masses are clamoring for the govt to 'do something', and we all know the govt (both parties, btw) are big on appearances, ie doing that 'something' the public wants, even if does nothing to actually solve the problem.

But hey, please tell me more about those changes Obama really wanted to make. Did he confide them to you personally? Or does your tinfoil hat have mind reading powers as well?

Oh hey, aren't you the guy that was price gouging an AR in the classifieds? Nice way to help out your fellow gun owners by profiting off the hysteria, asshat. "The market has changed" yup and you jumped right on that, didn't you? As it's quite obvious you singed up here just to rip someone off on your grossly overpriced rifle.

Are you this big of a jerk in real life or just a tough guy on the internet, Gixxer Pete? If you want any kind of serious and mature discussion on this topic or any topic I suggest you lose the tough guy/a**hole persona unless you feel more at home being a keyboard comando. :thefinger:

Some of what he said has merit and some of what he said does not, but it's all lost in the way he comes across. I have no interest in further discussion with Mr. Gixxer Peckerhead. I'm new to this forum so I don't know the different personalities or cliques, but Gixxer Peckerhead has made a bad impression on me and I would suspect he is a known a**hole on this board.
