An NRA spokesperson revealed the spike to Politico as the organization prepared for its meeting with Vice President Joe Biden on Thursday. Biden on Wednesday said the Obama administration is weighing an executive order restricting gun-owner rights – without congressional input, USA Today, Newsmax.com, the Huffington Post and other media outlets are reporting.
“Bypassing Congress to implement radical policies is never acceptable,” Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., told Newsmax.
Sweeping rewrite of New York gun laws
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo called for an overhaul of the Empire State’s gun laws in his State of the State address Wednesday.
