NGD: Ruger 10/22

Well, I finally received my 10/22 -- seemed to take forever to find one at a reasonable price. I really don't get why the 22 market went all bonkers, but whatever...

This is the "Tactical" model. The only thing I can tell that is different form the standard model is the stock is polymer, there's a rail, no front sight, has a threaded barrel with an Mini14 style flash suppressor and a stainless barrel.

I was originally getting this to build out a ZK-22 bullpup, but after hearing about how much parallax there is (due to the exaggerated height of the rail) I'm not so sure I want to go that route after all. We'll see, once it arrives (if it ever does)...

I was originally looking to get an eotech clone but may go with a more traditional red dot configuration. But I wanted a magnifier for it, too. I'm leaning toward one of these set ups...

Awesome rifle Richard. I LOVE mine. I've got the Carbine in SS with black plastic furniture.

A word of caution, however... the action is NOT stainless.. it is painted silver. Be careful what you use to clean it with. I learned that the hard way.

Ahhhhhh, on my work bench. I don't really know the story of them. It's a bracelet made of jade that just sort of appeared there one day. I don't know whose it is or where it came from. I've just left it there in hopes someone will do something with it...

I've got one of these, and it's a GREAT little gun. When I go shooting, this is the only gun I ALWAYS take.

What did you spend on the setup? What distance is the most effective range?
