Armor carrier

A buddy of mine from Afghanistan is developing a new line of gear and his company is doing well. He and his partner recently came out with a new low profile armor carrier called the LVR. I'm not associated with his company, he's a friend but I still pay for my ****. I know some guys have asked about chest rigs, well this covers that but is way more versatile.

My LVR was delivered last week and I wore it during active shooter training yesterday. This is without a doubt the most comfortable carrier I've ever worn. It's light! Lighter than many of the minimalist plate carriers I've run but adds the capability of soft panels and equipment pouches without **** hanging everywhere. Even with SR25 mags, a radio the size of an '80's cell phone, med gear, two lights, taser and cuffs it still felt light and didn't hinder movement. This is the first rig I've owned that didn't seem to catch on door jambs in buildings or make getting in and out of the car a pain in the ass.

You can run AK mags, SR25 mags or AR mags in the pouches....probably mini14 mags if you're into that kind of thing, god help you. pouches also hold OC, smaller smoke, cuffs, radios....the elastic is incredibly versatile and all have retention straps.

If you need any more gear, there is a clip in bib covered in pals webbing so you can attach even more ****. I haven't even worked with the bib much because all my gear fits in the low pro configuration but when the zombies come, I'll pull that out.

Not everyone needs a vest, but if you choose to buy some armor, it should fill as many roles as possible. This rig works well under a shirt if you downsize your load of can be used as an full on go to war kind of rig with magazines all over if you think you need that or are in a shooting school where that might prove helpful. Works well with plates too when you crawl out of your bunker after the hippies succeed with their economic induced holocaust. This carrier was developed by guys with a lot of PSD experience and it shows. I could literally strip it down and wear it as a normal soft vest under a shirt or load it up for a warrant. I wish I had it a few years ago.

This is a well thought out piece of kit you will appreciate. Home

I prefer them because they are light. Plates come in two varieties: heavy and cheaper or light and expensive. They're basically made of plastic but to be effective, they have to be thick.

I'm old enough to realize that paying extra for less weight is money well spent when you have to carry it all day
