I was trying to think of the best place to meet for a face to face firearm sale. Obviously somewhere public, but not sensitive. I was thinking Costco parking lot or Safeway or something. Any good ideas?

Also, I don't usually open carry, but I was thinking about it here for ease of access, since clearly the other guy knows I have guns and am probably armed.

I've never made a private sale to someone I didn't know before, so just thowing some thoughts out there.

Yeah, I've met in mall-type parking lots. In front of a sporting goods store or strip mall. Just park a bit out of the way so as to not draw unwanted attention...

Like those above I have met people in various places, I just park out of the way. I also carry, but I carry concealed.

Generally anywhere semi public like a grocery store parking lot.

One thing about gun shops might not be the best place. First you are on the property of an FFL and while FTF is legal it could possibly cause problems for the FFL. Also that is a semi conflict of issue since guns are his business. Out of "respect" I will not use the property of an FFL for transactions.

Stay away from malls. To many guards and cameras.

We use ranges, outside sporting stores, and yes drive right to the house.
