what makes you want the extra safety i carry a glock and feal very safe without a safety .i know that if i decide to put my finger on the trigger then i plan on firing the gun . i really feal its a safe firearm

I hear you on wanting the safety. With that light of a trigger pull I didn't feel comfortable carrying with one in the chamber except once. When my 19 was my carry gun I kept it condition 1 when I was walking around Seattle on New Years Eve (couple of years ago).

i think with no external safety in a holster it could misfire and hit your leg..i dont know the truth to that but i read online that it has happened.

I have a P89 (it weighs a ton) and I love it. Best $250 I ever spent! I wonder how much it differs from that P95.

get what your comfy with, if you dont think you can put your gun into a holster or take it out without hitting the trigger, get something else.

here is a picture of the safety on my glock
the little silver cylinder in the trigger prevent the movement of the trigger safety

officers 1911. I have a Rock Island 45. can be had at gun show for under 400 (last one I saw was 398.00). When purchasing stick with the companies that were contracted in WWII. These companies have tried and true results. I have girly hands so the compact and narrow lines of the gun are a plus. Frame safety+grip safety+single action= cocked and locked FTMFW.

Or you can sacrifice the muzzle velocity and go with a ruger mkII or III with a short barrell. Narrow frame and a couple rounds properly place in center mass or in the brain bucket and just as effective as 9mm. Especially since most self defense justifiable rounds are fired @ 25 ft. or less.

i wish going to the range was cheaper..i also shot the glock 36 i think it was..the sub compact 45..wasnt too big of a fan, i think the caliber was too big for the size of the gun.

I have a glock 22 and don't like carrying it around with one in the chamber. With the trigger being easy squeeze in my opinion, when I'm putting it in and out of my holster (I'm a bigger guy and don't like carrying it on me when driving. I prefer putting it under the seat), I don't like having that chance (by far a long shot, but still a chance of it discharging under stupid conditions).. I'd like a safety for it, but am still fine carrying it, but just in "condition 1"

I carry my PT145 around and love it. Quite a nice weapon and I like the different safety features it offers.

i also started thinking about a walther p99..probably compact. i have the airsoft of the p99 and reallly like the feel. i like the slide and magazine release..the glocks mag release is on the left and the walther is ambidextrous.
