Heavy Tungsten Guide Rod Assembly?

My Sig 220 Stainless Elite has a plastic guide rod. I'd save my money.

I've never tried one but if you are shooting in competition and are near the top of your class/division, then it might help. I have heard they help a little but if its just a range or CCW gun I wouldn't bother.

What is their advantage? Is it to weigh down the front end to reduce muzzle rise? In that case, I would agree that only advanced competition shooters really need to worry about it.

As far as general reliability goes, I don't think it would gain you anything over standard Glock equipment.
