So I'm gonna spend some Christmas money on the one of the last two upgrades on my AR. Since they relatively in the same price range what do you guys think I should do? Magpul UBR stock OR Geissele/Timney trigger? They'll be some time before I can afford to get around the the second of the two.

I use my AR for bench shooting and coyote hunting.

What's your current trigger and stock setup? I agree a trigger will give the most immediate improvement.

I have a Geissele SSA and it is excellent for the way I shoot.

Without trying your trigger or a description of it, it's hard to say which is worse, your stock or your trigger?

milspec trigger I would estimate at 8 lbs with some creep. I have a magpul MOE stock that I retrofitted with a cheek piece, not a ghetto job tho either.

Well since you've got a decent stock, I'd definitely say trigger. Especially for bench shooting or hunting. My 'sniper' AR is a RRA Varmint A4 with RRA's two stage trigger and it's night and day better than my S&W carbine with a standard mil-spec trigger. And a Geissele trigger is another cut above the RRA two stage. You'll love it.

Yeah it's the trigger. I have shot another guy's RRA 2-stage and they're nothing to sneeze at, either.

One shot from either one and you'll forget the price you paid.
