ammo is a popular gift, and we're still recovering from a panic -- and since it's the best .22 ammo, I'd imagine it will be the last to be reliably available.

don't panic.

(please don't panic)

It's actually sort of bullshit. 22 ammo hasnt really been available for a year now but occasionally some stores like Cabelas will have it at crap prices.

CCI is okay stuff, but not "the best".

.22lr has been hard to find for the last year or so. If you take a look at the Midway USA listings, CCI should be coming back in stock sometime in the spring or summer....ish.

I found some winchester 22 lr ammo, but it was subatomic. Not sure I understand the difference of subatomic ammo... Help?

Thanks. But, I don't need 'the best' to go plinking. CCI runs my guns just fine. Without paying preimum prices. Kinda like running preimum instead of regular.

I just put 5,000 rounds on B/O with Midway. I'm still looking

Yes Sir! A local store here in the TriCities, 'Ranch and Home' has CCI 22lr.
50 rounds, $4.99 per box. Limit one box per customer per day.

My new nickname for this operation is, "Ranch and Robbery"!

I won't buy from them.

Cci .22lr

I know of several stores that occasionally have CCI and other brands of 22 lr.
One of my most reliable is Bi Mart which has a number of stores in both WA and OR. You're usually limited to 1 or 2 100rd cartons, but they only charge the familiar $6.75/100 for CCI mini-mags. I have one pistol that thrives on these, and buy them whenever I can. I also picked up some at Wal-Mart and Cabelas on occasion; but their prices have always been higher. Wally world was 5.98 for 50 rds of sub-sonic CCI. I always try to buy some before I go shooting. Sometimes it takes two or three purchases before I have enough for a shooting session. I have a backorder with Midway for 1000 rds of CCI and some Winchester. It's been on backorder for a month now however.

Good luck!

Another place I won't buy from 'Griggs Ace Hardware', Pasco.
I just called them and they have 50 round box's of CCI, selling for $4.79.
Or, any of the Griggs stores in the TriCities.

I usually get kissed before someone tries to screw me that hard.

How do you know that their wholesale cost hasn't gone up dramatically with the shortage of .22 LR?

Griggs firearm prices are still some of the best in the state.

That's a decent deal for CCI. What do you consider a fair price?

Not CCI but.....

I did find a Bulk Pak 525 rounds brass plated hollow points for $25.99
Fred Meyer had one box. They will work for plinking at the 50' range
