What to look at getting next for a pistol

So, I am trying to think of what I want to get next for a pistol. This would not be daily carry. Maybe occasionally. I have a XD-s 9mm and Glock 17 gen4. I would like to stay with 9mm but would consider something in 45acp if it was steel. I am thinking of something in da/sa. I am not picky just need it affordable under or around $500. I really like the lionheart lh9 but you have to order it only. Something along those lines would be great.

FN-P9 is pretty cheap these days. I always liked it. Been replaced by the FN-S and FN-X (both of which sound like good guns too, I've just never shot them).

If you like playing with them, there are, like, a thousand different barrels for the Thompson Contender

Under $500 restricts your options. Check out the Ruger SR-9 or LC-9 or their compact versions.

I can't stand the Beretta 92,, huge, clunky, unergonomic

The FN or CZ are good choices but try them first, some ranges rent them

I have the FN so I know that's true. I shied away from the CZ because it is repudiated to be a bit finicky with ammo, unlike My FNS9, a few thousand rounds in has never hiccuped, FTF, FTE, stove piped, nothing, flawless.
