nice thread but this guy is can frickin drag it out, sounds like a pro when it comes to a write up, but i know that the 22lr can kill a cat at 175 yards, thru and thru, also racoons.. not saying I shot or even seen it shot...

Years ago I heard that eskimos used to hunt polar bears with 22s and would shoot them in the eye. Never verified it as it was before the internet. Seems possible, but scary |

PRetty common to shoot a caribou and find a dozen 22 rounds in the hindquarters. That said its all about shot placement shooting something that will penetrate 15 inches does no good if you miss/shoot them in non vitals

my friend was killed by a 22lr that ricochet off the ground and hit him in the eye

I heard it best A 22 will kill you just as dead as a 44 just a 44 is more dramatic |

Yes a .22 can definitely be lethal but shot placement becomes very critical.
