Private transfers in Puget Sound area

I recently considered selling an old milsurp rifle to a private party here locally in the Seattle area (Eastside). This would have been the first time I bought/sold privately under Washington's new Bloomberg-inspired universal background check law. I scanned the web sites of a few local gun shops and was horrified at the onerous conditions placed by some of my favorite gun shops for the favor of performing a NICS check, transfer forms, etc. These are people I order new guns through all the time, no problem, but private transfers are somehow "unclean" in their minds.

For example, Pinto's in Renton requires the seller to formally turn over the rifle to them, then the buyer (fees paid upfront) applies for transfer filling out the forms etc. If the NICS fails, the seller has to pay more fees and undergo another NICS just to get the rifle back. As near as I can tell, not all gun shops operate this way, Sound Gun Transfers web site (in Everett) seems more friendly, offering private sales support (NICS etc.) for long guns only $15.

What other FFL dealers in the Puget Sound area, esp the Eastside, offer friendly NICS transfer service to private parties wanting to buy/sell face to face? A shop like that might be able to win the all of my business (new guns, ammo, supplies) away from Pinto's and West Coast Armory. thx - CW

WAC gun shows (Monroe, Puyallup) do the transfer for $10 and no hassle.
Yes, but only if you are a member and present at a show. The kind of private transfer I contemplate would happen inside a friendly local gun store. - CW
