Looking for a hunting rifle

I'm looking to get into some deer hunting this year with a buddy, and need a rifle. I don't really want to spend too much on a rifle until i decide what I want to hunt etc...

So if have a decent rifle or rifle/scope setup lemme know. Not looking for anything fancy, just something in decent shape in a caliber suitable for hunting deer, preferable a bolt action.

Oh and any tips etc... on well anything would be appreciated

Thanks all.
J.D.

I don't see the point in paying 20% more for a used gun because its at a store - might as well buy a new one at that point...lol

I'm hoping to spend less than 500 for a decent rifle and scope. I know that doesn't buy much but I don't really need much...lol
If I decide to really do a lot of hunting then I'll go buy a nice setup next year.

$500 is plenty for a decent rifle.

good luck in your search (and check seattleguns.net, srsly, they have quite a few listings)
