why not buy a .38 revovler or 357? new it around 300 and they dont jam like the 380
I used to carry (and still own) a S&W 642 Airweight .38 revolver. But it's been replaced in the lineup by my LCP. While I would never claim the reliability of a revolver, my LCP goes bang every time and I've got around 1,000 rounds though it so far. It's lighter & thinner than my revolver, and holds 7 rounds vs 5 and is easier to shoot and much less punishing on the hand.
A good revolver like a S&W is going to be more like $400-500 where the LCP is < $300.
But since we're talking revolvers, Ruger's new LCR looks pretty cool, I've been thinking of trading my 642 on it. It's a totally new design with a polymer frame and a trigger that feels more like a smooth DAO auto than a heavy DAO revolver.
Here's a pic I found of the duo... I have the same Crimson Trace laser on mine, it's awesome!
