This is a pre-ban Norinco M14 in 7.62 that have been upgraded for accuracy. Man this thing is a shooter. For those familiar with the M14 and M1a rifles, the Norinco and Polytech to this day are one of the few receivers built with the same forging process as the USGI rifles. Springfield receivers are softer and cast as well as most M1a and M14s to this day. Rifle alone without upgrades is worth $1200. I hate to sell, but need to free money up for new projects.
Rifle has had the following standard national match accuracy upgrades done:
1. Tighten gasblock and forward stock ring fit to remove slack
2. Peen action rod guide mounting to remove play
3. Hammer, trigger and secondary sear replaced with USGI
4. Sears and hammer hooks custom honed and polished to smooth and reduce trigger pull. Trigger is smooth.
5. Polished gas cylinder for smoother operation
6. Fitted McMillan fiberglass stock and glass bedded for accuracy
7. Installed Leatherwood M600 scope with low profile mount
8. Custom picatinny tripod mount near strap hinge
9. Handguard custom fitted and secured from rattling reducing accuracy.
