Purple is correct for small screws like scope mounts and similar.

If I only had blue on hand I would use that but purple is better. I picked up a bottle and it goes a long way. I have used it a lot.

If you are really in a bind steal the wife/GF's clear nail polish. If you ever want to take it out a little polish remover will work wonders.

Good Call,
Just noticed it was for a 10-22. I have had at least 1 issue with purple on a centerfire rifle, always used blue after that. The correct driver will let you get that screw out, and you wont have to worry about it coming loose. :mfclap:

I've used Loc-Tite Red with higher caliber weapon systems (i.e. .30 caliber +)
, and Blue on the lower caliber (.22-25-06) . But am unfamiliar with the purple. School me.

I have both since I work on cars everyday and I use blue on almost anything. Use red if you never wanna take the bolt or screw off again. Use blue on anything you want to maybe take off again. I used red when bolting my seat belts into my 63 Beetle cause I never want those coming out.

Cheers

Lighter weight than Blue loctite.
Designed for 'Small/tiny' scews and bolts.
Like a rail going on top of the Ruger MKIII. For the weaver style mount for optics.

Its made to be removed if need be.

I use the blue for my P238's because the grips screws kept working themselves loose after a couple of mags. The blue kept them secure, but I am able to loosen them when I break down the weapons for cleaning with no problems.

In all fairness, I have never used the purple or red so I am not in the position to compare the three.

Red you need to heat up to remove, never heard of purple...might have to pick up some of it.

On my motorcycle I've had blue come loose, but never red loosen up but you can remove anything with the proper application of explosives/force. <grin> Purple's new to me, I'll have to get some.
