Rather than being Machined from Forged Aluminum, PCF's lower recirvers are fashioned from a modern Composite Material. Its NOT carbon fiber.
The price? 'Fully assembled AR lower reciever, "$119.00".:top:
It is reviewed in 'Gun's and Ammo's' latest issue of, 'Book of the AR-15'.
Page 116.
Fortier was IMPRESSED.

Have you found anything online about it? If you do could you link it here please? I would definitely be interested in reading up on it.

Sorry, I'll try to play nice!

Back to the lower, the part that bugs me about the setup is that it even has polymer internals. I'm sure it has to do with the cost savings, but I would feel a lot better with standard mil-spec internals. For a plinker it should still be fine, but I would put standard internals in mine.

the one review that I can find on the plum crazy lowers that are negative seems to be a failed upper.

I know a guy who sells them, not sure his price, but I imagine it's competitive...

though, I think you'd have to be "plum crazy" to buy the first half price lower you came across...

When I finish my upper, I likely won't be going with a plum crazy lower.

It comes with composite material internals. BUT, you can and, some have swaped them for your favorite trigger group.
The magazine artical talks about that very thing.
The trigger group is as good as any stock AR-15.
But, Some like to 'hot-rod' their rifles.

I setup a group buy over here on the eastside about 8 months ago or so.

300+ have sold, 2 issues that I know of, one came out of the box missing the bolt catch, and one guy had a hammer disconnector break.

Local guys tried to break one, ran a ton of ammo thru one really fast and did manage to start to melt the very front portion of the lower.

I've got probably 3000 rounds thru the one that I built my wifes AR with.
