Gun Parts Sources

Later on this summer I'll be taking on a couple of projects repairing and restoring a couple of firearms that have been in my family for a while. Besides Numrich Gun Parts, what other sources are there for getting replacement parts? The guns in question are a single shot .22 rifle and an old percussion cap revolver that my dad is giving me. Except for a bad extractor on the .22 rifle, that's all the info I have until I get the guns.

Thanks...Vince

Depending on age of the firearms, you may be faced with learning some old fashioned gunsmithing. You may need to make some parts yourself. I was faced with this about 30 years ago, trying to repair a double barreled shotgun with a broken firing pin.

Ended up making one on a lathe, using the good one as a pattern. You'd be amazed at what you'll learn during the process. Access to some machine tools will be a plus as it was for me.

Some gun shows have old timers that have bins with parts to dig through as well... depends on what you need... Good luck...

my dad lives out in amboy and does a bit of gunsmithing on lots of OLD guns..

He has a pretty decent collection of pre 1900 firearms and quite a few spanning the 1900's
He works on all of them.. swapping barrels, calibers, machining parts.. who knows..

If you don't find what your looking for down there with a local shop I'll put you in contact with him.
